The short version
- BookTheFix is not taking bookings yet. Right now this site collects very little.
- If you join our launch list, we keep your email address and use it only to tell you about the BookTheFix launch.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and which buttons and searches people use, so we know what to build first.

This Privacy Policy explains how BookTheFix ("BookTheFix," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit bookthefix.com (the "Site"). BookTheFix is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Site is currently a pre-launch page. Booking, accounts, and payments are not available yet, so we do not collect names, home addresses, phone numbers, or payment details through the Site.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email address. If you choose to join our launch list, we collect the email address you enter, along with which part of the Site you were interested in when you signed up (for example, "Book a Service" or "For Contractors") and the city and state shown in the Site header at the time, so we know where demand is coming from.
- Messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
Information collected automatically
- Usage information. Pages you view, buttons you click, whether you use the search bar, and the words you search for. Please don't type personal information, such as your name, address, or phone number, into the search bar.
- Device and connection information. Browser type, device type, operating system, screen size, language, the website that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.
- Approximate location. When you visit, the Site looks up a general location, such as your city and state, from your IP address so it can show local weather in the header. This lookup happens in your browser through GeoJS. Google Analytics also estimates your city or region from your IP address.
- Location you choose to share. If you search for a city or ZIP code, or click "Use my current location" and allow your browser to share it, the Site uses that location to show your local weather. Precise coordinates from your device are rounded, used only to look up your city name and weather, and are never sent to Google Analytics or stored by us. Your chosen location is saved in your own browser so the Site remembers it next time. "Reset to automatic" clears it.
- IP address. Like every website, the Site and the services it relies on receive your IP address when your browser connects to them. See Who we share it with for details.
2. How we use information
- To send you launch announcements and updates about BookTheFix if you joined our launch list.
- To show you local weather for your area.
- To understand which services and features people are most interested in, and in which areas, so we can decide what to build and where to launch.
- To run the Site, keep it secure, and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To comply with the law and enforce our rights.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to show you targeted advertising.
3. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that run the Site for us. They may use it only to provide their services to us and as described in their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect the rights, safety, or property of BookTheFix, our users, or others; or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, in which case this Policy would continue to apply to your information.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, which sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) that help it recognize returning visitors. These cookies last up to two years. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google may collect information about your activity on this Site and on other websites that use Google services over time. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies. Cloudflare may set a small security cookie used to tell people apart from automated bots. It is necessary for the Site to work securely and is not used for analytics or advertising.
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser, as described in the next section.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track (DNT) signal, the Site does not load Google Analytics for your visit. The Site will still work normally.
6. How long we keep information
- Your chosen location: stays in your own browser until you click "Reset to automatic" or clear your browser data. We receive only the city and state, and only if you join our launch list.
- Launch list emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your email, or until we no longer need the list, whichever comes first.
- Analytics data: no longer than 14 months, after which Google Analytics automatically deletes it.
- Emails you send us: as long as needed to answer you and keep reasonable records.
7. Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe: every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed.
- Access, correction, and deletion: you can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing support@bookthefix.com.
- Analytics: use the cookie and browser options in Cookies and analytics.
We honor these requests no matter where you live. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, usually by replying to the email address in question. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them as required.
8. Nevada residents
Nevada law gives Nevada residents the right to direct operators of websites not to sell certain personal information ("covered information") they collect. BookTheFix does not sell covered information. You may still submit a request that we not sell your covered information in the future by emailing support@bookthefix.com with the subject line "Nevada Opt-Out Request." We will respond within 60 days.
The categories of covered information we collect, the third parties we share it with, the process for reviewing and correcting it, and how we notify you of changes to this Policy are described in sections 1, 3, 7, and 11. As described in section 4, third parties such as Google may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Security
The Site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we use reputable service providers with their own security programs. No website or online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us. Our providers may store information in the United States.
11. Changes to this Policy
When BookTheFix launches booking, accounts, and payments, we will collect more information, such as your name, service address, phone number, and appointment details. We will update this Policy before we begin collecting it. When we change this Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we will also email people on our launch list before the change takes effect.
